Schwarzenegger Institute Launches Whisky that Gives Back

Inspired by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s recent $1 million donation to wildfire relief efforts, the USC Schwarzenegger Institute is expanding its own efforts to support those affected by the Eaton Fire in Altadena. In collaboration with Alexander Murray & Co, the Institute has announced that all proceeds from the limited-edition “MacSchwarzenegger” Scotch whisky will be donated to the Pasadena Educational Fund to assist fire victims.

Originally created to raise funds for the Schwarzenegger Institute and other philanthropic initiatives, MacSchwarzenegger has now been repurposed to provide direct aid to those impacted by the fire. Partnering with Mission Liquor in Pasadena, the Institute is ensuring that funds go directly to local families in need.

The whisky itself is a tribute to Schwarzenegger’s Austrian heritage and his well-known nickname, “The Austrian Oak.” Crafted using custom Austrian oak barrels from Mittelberger Cask Masters, this 10-year-old Speyside single malt whisky developed a distinctive character after four months of finishing, with notes of marzipan, cedar, and candied nuts. Bottled at 47% ABV, it offers a refined and complex profile—both a reflection of Schwarzenegger’s roots and a testament to expert craftsmanship.

With fewer than 800 bottles available, this rare release provides an opportunity for supporters to enjoy a world-class whisky while contributing to wildfire relief efforts. Every bottle sold will help rebuild lives and support families recovering from the disaster.

Those interested in purchasing a bottle and supporting the cause can visit Mission Liquor in Pasadena in-person or online while supplies last. Through this initiative, the USC Schwarzenegger Institute continues its commitment to community support, resilience, and meaningful action.
