Interactive Map by USC Student Sarah McMinimy – After-School Summit March 24th

This 21st Century Community Learning Centers Map, created by USC Undergraduate Student Fellow Sarah McMinimy, is an interactive data visualization showing the distribution of after-school programs that received support through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers initiative.  The layers are separated by zoom levels, showing both state and local levels of data. In California, center distribution in overlaid with data showing percentage of youth age 5-17 living in poverty within a school district, in order to demonstrate both value of existing programs and unmet need for more after-school opportunities.
