Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates $1 Million to Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Efforts

In response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Arnold Schwarzenegger has pledged $1 million to support relief efforts across Los Angeles County. His donation will be distributed among three critical organizations: the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles—all of which are actively working on the front lines of disaster response and recovery.

A longtime advocate for climate resilience and emergency preparedness, Schwarzenegger announced his donation on January 21 via Instagram, encouraging others to contribute. Alongside his personal donation, he launched a fundraising campaign featuring a specially designed “L.A. Strong” T-shirt, with 100% of proceeds going directly to wildfire relief efforts.

“A lot of my fans have asked me how they can help LA. I’m going to lead the way,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “I don’t like when companies or rich people ask their fans to make their donations for them. But I know you want to help.”

Inspired by Governor Schwarzenegger’s leadership, the USC Schwarzenegger Institute has also mobilized its own efforts to support wildfire relief, reinforcing its commitment to helping communities recover and building long-term climate resilience.
