The Schwarzenegger Institute officially welcomed Christopher Boone as the new dean of the USC Price School of Public Policy during his installation ceremony on February 10th. Boone, an esteemed expert in urban sustainability, global environmental change, urbanization, and environmental justice, brings a wealth of experience from his previous leadership roles at Arizona State University, where he served as dean of the School of Sustainability and founding dean of the College of Global Futures.
Boone’s commitment to interdisciplinary problem-solving and impactful solutions aligns closely with the Schwarzenegger Institute’s mission to advance sustainability and public policy. His background in tackling global environmental challenges makes him well-positioned to collaborate with USC’s faculty and community to further the university’s sustainability initiatives.
“I’m thrilled to be joining a leading research university and its amazing and inspiring faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends.” said Boone during his installation. His vision for USC Price closely mirrors the Institute’s collaborative approach to create innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.
As Boone steps into his new role, the Schwarzenegger Institute looks forward to working with him to guide the USC Price School into an era of transformative change and continued leadership in sustainability.
